Kobe Bryant killed in fatal helicopter crash L.A Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has died, along with several others, after a fatal helicopter crash on the 26 th January 2020. The helicopter crashed into Calabasas hillside, close to the city of Los Angeles at 9:45AM. The cause of the crash is still unknown, with investigations under way as to the exact reason for the fatal incidence. The aircraft, carrying 9 people, went down in a remote field off Las Virgenes, with investigators still trying to uncover the exact reason for the crash. However it is known that the conditions were foggy, and local police had grounded their helicopters due to poor flying conditions. Kobe Bryant is widely regarded as the best NBA player of all time, owner of 5 NBA championships, as well as an Oscar.
